Red clover is a very pleasant tasting herb that combines well with nettle or heartsease for skin problems, with sage for menopausal sweats, and with marigold for regulating the menstrual cycle.
Directions for Use
One to two teaspoons to one cup of boiling water. Brew for 10 minutes, strain and drink up to four times daily.
Precautions
Avoid if taking anti-coagulant therapy. Seek advice if taking HRT or the contraceptive pill. Avoid in pregnancy.
Notes on the Herb
Red clover contains phyto-oestrogens which can be helpful for both menstruating and menopausal women. It is helpful for hot sweats, and is a useful skin remedy for eczema and pre-menstrual spots. Suitable for children.
